Adding a Testimonial Element to a Page
If you want to display a testimonial or your testimonial’s elements across multiple pages, which is generally what we recommend, we recommend creating this in the global element section.
- Under Global, select ‘Add New’
- Select ‘Testimonials’ as the Element Type (right hand side)
- Pick your layout (we recommend the carousel in the default layout). This is where you can pick if you want to show the content only, if you want to show the image above the content, or the image right of content, etc.
- Select how many you’d like to display horizontally per row. Also select if you want them to automatically scroll through the different testimonials (autoplay), and/or if you want to show slider dots and/or slider arrows.
- Then, if you wish, add in a heading and/or sub heading.
- Under Content, select which testimonials you want to display, and which information from the testimonials you want to display. This is where you select how many at most you’re happy to display. Note: Under ‘layout’ if you have 3 per row selected, and then choose to show 4 testimonials, you will end up with 2 rows of testimonials, with the first row having 3, and the second row having 1 (for example).
- You can also select how many words from the testimonial you’d like to display on this element, and which order you’d like them to display in.
- Under ‘Footer’ you can add in any buttons you may want to show under the element.
- Under ‘Design’ you can select the width, colour (theme) and title alignment of the element.
- Make sure your element is labelled, and then click ‘save’ or ‘update’ (top right corner).
- Once your global element is created, you then need to go to the page where you want to add it, and select ‘add element’.
- Select ‘global element.’
- Then, select the element you just created from the options, and click ‘Update’ or ‘Save.’
- If you are not creating this element as a global element, and creating it as an individual element on a single page, navigate to the appropriate page, select ‘Add Element’ and then select ‘Testimonial’ instead, and then follow steps 1-9.
